On Friday, October 25th, the Applied Bioethics in Social Work in Health Care Conference was successfully held for the second time, organized by Áltima in collaboration with the WeCare Chair. The event took place in the auditorium of the Hospital General de Catalunya, where industry professionals gathered to reflect on the ethical principles applicable to the relationship between patient and family.
The conference began with a warm welcome from the WeCare Chair’s management team. Throughout the morning, attendees had the opportunity to delve into the ethical principles of professional practice in social work in health care, with insights from Artur Roman, who shared valuable perspectives on the topic.

In the second part of the conference, Gema Riera, a renowned professional in social work in health care, took the stage. Her presentation focused on the crucial role of social work in health care professionals in decision-making, emphasizing the importance of their role in this process.
