On Friday, February 13, the WeCare Chair held an Artificial Intelligence (AI) workshop focused on how these tools can enhance research processes and improve the efficiency of researchers’ day-to-day work.
A practical, application-oriented session
The workshop had a strongly practical approach and provided an accessible introduction to the main uses of generative AI in an academic context. Throughout the session, participants explored examples and strategies for integrating these technologies into common research tasks such as searching for and synthesizing information, organizing ideas, planning and structuring documents, and supporting academic writing—always from a critical perspective and grounded in professional judgment.
Responsible use and research integrity
A key theme of the workshop was the importance of using AI responsibly, rigorously, and ethically, taking into account issues such as fact-checking, confidentiality, and maintaining the quality standards expected in research. The session also created space for reflection on how to incorporate AI realistically into research workflows, identifying both opportunities and limitations.
Commitment to innovation and excellence
This initiative reflects the WeCare Chair’s commitment to promoting activities that strengthen innovation and excellence in research, by fostering training and professional development opportunities linked to emerging technologies and sector challenges.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Quantiqus for their collaboration and for leading the workshop, sharing expertise and practical tools that helped bring AI closer to everyday research practice.
