The director of the WeCare Chair, Dr. Joaquim Julià Torras, had the honour of opening the 18th Àltima Professional Conference, held under the theme “Between people and screens: caring without losing the soul.”
It was a shared space for reflection on how to integrate technology without losing what truly matters: deeply human care. As Josep Ventura Ustrell, CEO of Àltima, reminded us:
“Technology can help us work better, but it is humanity that gives meaning to everything we do.”
From the WeCare Chair, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Àltima for promoting this event and for its continuous commitment to humanising care. Our recognition also goes to all the professionals who joined us —from hospitals, nursing homes, social and healthcare centres, and foundations— whose sensitivity, professionalism, and dedication are the heart of this gathering.
