Last Thursday, November 9th, the Bioethics Day applied to Social Work, an event organized by Altima in collaboration with the WeCare Chair, was held with great success. The activity took place in the auditorium of the General Hospital of Catalonia, where professionals from the sector met to reflect on the ethical principles applicable to the relationship between the patient and the family.
The day began with a warm welcome by the management of the WeCare Chair. During the morning, attendees had the opportunity to dive into the deep exploration of ethical principles in professional social work practice by David Lorenzo, who shared valuable insights during the session.
After this first presentation, participants enjoyed a brief but necessary break, thanks to the Coffee Break, which provided a space for the informal exchange of ideas and experiences.
The second part of the day was given by Sílvia Mateu, a prominent professional in the field of social work. Her presentation focused on the crucial participation of social work professionals in decision-making, exploring the importance of their role in this process.
The event not only provided a space for reflection but also strengthened the community of social work professionals, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the building of collaborative networks.
The collaboration between Altima and the WeCare Chair reaffirms the commitment of both entities to the promotion of ethical practices and continuous improvement in the field of social work, consolidating events such as this one as a fundamental platform for development and innovation in the sector.
