The WeCare chair is a multidisciplinary research group with an established name in the palliative care community. With over 30 publications since 2017 and various competitive projects awarded, we strive to continue growing at the end of life subject.

 

For this reason, the group is welcoming new members. We are opening our Ph.D. applications now!

 


 

Candidate profile

Currently, the research group is comprised of nurses, doctors, psychologists, and experts in human studies. In this sense, we are very open to any specialty that wants to join the team and carry out their doctoral thesis within the projects that are being carried out by the research team of the WeCare Chair (2017-GRC-1004)

Ideally,  the candidate would be a graduate in health sciences (nursing, medicine, psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, etc). We are also very open to welcome researchers with social sciences background, like anthropology, philosophy, humanities, sociology, communication, etc.

 

How does it work?

The Directors will conduct interviews and once projects are reviewed, applicants are encouraged to apply to the AGAUR Grants.

Application Calendar

– June 5th to July 9th:  Candidates should apply by sending their CV through our mail: wecare@uic.com.

– September 1st to 15th: the Chair Directors will make the first screening and conduct interviews.

– September 15th to 30th: the accepted applicants will have the opportunity to apply to the AGAUR Grants for funding.

– September 30th: the accepted applicants will apply for the Doctorate School

The provisional resolution of candidates applying for a scholarship will be known at the end of January 2022.

The final resolution of the scholarships will be published on March 2022.

The start of the contract would begin in April 2022, and will have a duration of 3 years (full time dedication).
